Keen to keep toxic ingredients away from your body? We’re giving you a round-up of clean beauty products to update your routine this spring!
Clean beauty is a growing trend and we’re excited to see ethical brands owning this space.
What is clean beauty?
Sorry for the buzzword! But clean beauty basically refers to products that are created to be kind to the body. That means skipping toxic ingredients such as SLS and phthalates in favour of organic or more natural ingredients that are ethically sourced.
This is more than just a fad trend as it encourages us to be more conscious about what products are coming into contact with our bodies! It favours transparency from production through to the final product.
Here’s our Spring clean round-up!
Our marketing team at TOTM have curated a list of what products they are loving at the moment:
Alex, Social Media Executive
“I am LOVING the Kate McIver ‘Secret Weapon’ serum at the moment. I’ve got super sensitive skin so have to be very careful about what I use and the ingredients in products. The serum is completely natural and is a miracle worker! It always leaves my skin glowing and has reduced the acne scarring I had massively.”
Natalie, Comms Manager
“I love Wild Source Apothecary, Rosehip + Thistle Miracle Oil. This organic, vegan-friendly miracle oil really does live up to its name. It’s a blend of thistle, rosehip and vitamin E and I use it about two to three times a week. Before bed, I drop a few drops directly onto my skin using its little pipette, then massage it in with my jade roller. I love a face oil, but I’ve had to give up on other brands because they’ve been too heavy or greasy. This little bottle of natural goodness leaves my skin hydrated and glowy.”
Emma, Digital Marketing Manager
“I have two products that I really like at the moment! First is the Innocent Skin Soap by Atlas & Ortus which is free from artificial ingredients. It’s very mild and unscented, making it ideal even for those with sensitive skin. I also really like the unscented gentle deodorant from Natural Deo Co!”
Fee, Marketing Manager
“I’ve just started using the Daily Renew Face Cream from Evolve Organic Beauty and I am SO impressed. You only need apply a really small amount and it makes your skin really soft. It’s free-from toxic chemicals and cruelty-free too which I always look for with any products I use. I also really like that these products are handcrafted in the UK.”
